Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! We ensure all our signage complies with current Australian Standards and Regulations.

This really depends on what, where and how your sign is going to be installed.

As a general guide, Decals and Polypropylene signs are ideal for indoor signage while Aluminium, ACM & Metal signs are best suited for outdoor signage.

Signs should be large enough to view without straining the eyes.

You must consider the environment, ambient lighting and view distance as these factors will determine the size sign required to suit your application.

Have a look at our ‘View Distance Guide’ for further information.

We sure do – in fact it’s one of our specialities!

CLASS 1 REFLECTIVE

Stop, Giveway, Speed Limit & Street Name signs are a few great examples of Class 1 Reflective signs that can be seen in everyday life.

These signs have a higher grade of reflectivity and are identifiable by their honeycomb pattern when you view them up close.

Due to its high grade of reflectivity, these signs reflect light from wide angles and are the ideal to use where high visibility is required 24 hours of the day.

CLASS 2 REFLECTIVE

This material has a lower grade of reflectivity than the Class 1 Reflective above.

This is best used for non-critical, off-road signage that requires high visibility and retro-reflectivity in poor light conditions.

Basically, the primary purpose of having safety signs displayed in your working environment, is to help in the prevention of injury to both employees and visitors, particularly members of the public, which may not be aware of, or even notice, the protentional dangers or hazards within your current working environment.

Under the Work Health & Safety Act, severe penalties apply for companies and/or individuals who do not comply with this act. As the employer or occupier are responsible for everyone who sets foot on the premises or worksite, they need to be acutely aware of the need for safe work practices.

It is equally important to ensure that the safety signage used within your workplace or jobsite complies with AS:1319 / AS: 2700 as these standards set out the parameters for the design and type of signs to be used based on the hazard or situation.
